Dormition at Holy Apostles Mission - 08/15/10
For the feast of the Dormition this year Holy Apostles Mission was
blessed to have a special blessing to have a new shroud of the
Theotokos. Made in memory of our dearly departed parishioner Robert
Wingert, the shroud was created with an ikon painted by Dn. David
Mastroberte, and sewn together by Mat. Val Hatrak. A full Vigil was
served on Saturday night with 70 in attendance. On Sunday morning the
Festal Litrugy was celebrated with 106 soul present with most recieveing
Holy Communion. The festal tone continued with a picnic at a
parishioner family's home. Most Holy Theotokos Save us!
