On Saturday, April 30, 2016, the faithful of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA celebrated the Feast Of Feast, PASCHA.
The parish began their Paschal Celebration with the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great in the morning, where those gathered partook of the Holy Mysteries.
Later on in the evening, as darkness fell, the church grounds were illumined by hundreds of candles as those gathered took part in the procession around the church. Many guests were welcomed to celebrate the Feast of Feasts. Following the Nocturnes and Paschal Matins, Divine Liturgy was celebrated and again those gathered partook of the Holy Mysteries.
Following Divine Liturgy, the faithful and their many guests retired to Rapella Hall for the traditional blessing of the baskets.
