On July 16, 2017, His Eminence, Archbishop Mark, celebrated Divine Liturgy with Father Ignatius Hunter. Following Divine Liturgy, the parish community held its annual cookout.  Archbishop Mark joined the parish after Divine Liturgy at the cookout.

St. Michael’s support several local charities and provided four of the charities $150 each.  Alli Rake the Executive Director of the Lower Anthracite United Way accepted a check from Father Ignatius and His Eminence to use toward the school backpack drive this summer.

The Annual Cookout at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Mt. Carmel provide a great opportunity for the parish to meet the newly appointed Father Ignatius Hunter and Matushka Seraphima.
