St. John the Baptist Sunday School Provides Thanksgiving Dinner to local Veterans Center

On Saturday, November 21 2015, the Sunday School of St. John the Baptist provided a Thanksgiving Dinner to a local Veteran’s Center in their neighborhood. The Sunday School has “adopted” their neighbors and provides home cooked meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those gathered welcomed the Diocesan Secretary for Catholic Human Services/Executive Director, Catholic Social Services and Vicar for Hispanic Ministry,
Monsignor Joseph P. Kelly to the event. The Sunday School also provided a full Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all the trimmings, as well as a gift bag filled with dry-goods to the veterans and their families.
The Sunday School teachers, students and parents look forward to future holiday meals with their neighbors and thank Monsignor Kelly for visiting.
