On Saturday, November 18, members of the Sunday School of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church held their annual Veterans Thanksgiving Dinner. For the past several years, the Sunday School, teachers and friends have prepared a full Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings, and delivered it to the local Veteran’s apartments just down the street. The two groups share fellowship, and many of the veterans have become close friends. The Sunday School also prepares and shares a Christmas dinner with the Veteran’s, all part of their ministry of visitation, and a continuing tradition for more than 5 years.
