STROUDSBURG, PA [DOEPA]
From April 14–15, 2025, His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania presided over the services of Holy Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church in Stroudsburg, PA.
On the evening of Monday, April 14, upon arriving to the temple, His Eminence was warmly welcomed by Priest Vjekoslav Jovičić, Rector, together with members of the parish community.
The Bridegroom Matins service was celebrated by Father Vjekoslav, with Archbishop Mark presiding from the throne.
On the morning of Tuesday, April 15, His Eminence led the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts. Concelebrating with him were Father Vjekoslav and Archpriest Nicholas Solak, Director of Pastoral Life for the Orthodox Church in America. The choir, under the direction of Reader David Kessler, offered the responses.
Many of the faithful partook of the Holy Mysteries during the Presanctified Liturgy.
Following the dismissal, Archbishop Mark delivered an archpastoral word, expressing his joy at being among the faithful of Holy Trinity Church. He encouraged the community to continue their Lenten journey with dedication and open hearts, drawing nearer to Christ as they prepared to celebrate His Holy Pascha. His Eminence presented the flowers he had received upon arrival for Matins to Popadija Dragana, acknowledging her tireless efforts. He expressed his appreciation for all the hard work that a matushka puts in and wanted to acknowledge her dedication.
