MECHANICSBURG, PA [DOEPA]
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Holy Apostles Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, hosted their sister parish, Christ the Saviour Church in Harrisburg, PA, for the celebration of the Feast of the Protection of our Most Holy Lady, the Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki, Vice-Chancellor of the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania, Dean of the Frackville Deanery, and Rector of Holy Apostles Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, with the Mitred Archpriest Nicholas Molodyko-Harris and Arcpriest Stephen Vernak, Rector of Christ the Saviour Church, concelebrating. The Choir was led under the direction of Mrs. Barbara Linnehan.
The homily was offered by Father Stephen.
During the Divine Liturgy, the faithful partook of the Holy Mysteries.
Following the veneration of the Cross, a potluck meal was prepared and served in the parish hall, providing an opportunity for fellowship and strengthening the bonds between parishioners from both the East and West Shores.
