HARRISBURG, PA [DOEPA]
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Sixth Sunday of Holy Pascha, the Sunday of the Blind Man, the community of Christ the Saviour Church in Harrisburg, PA, concluded the Paschal season with a festive Divine Liturgy, final Paschal procession, and recognition of the parish Sunday School teachers and students.
The parish community prayerfully concluded the Paschal season with a joyful celebration of the Divine Liturgy and a final Paschal procession, proclaiming the Resurrection of Christ with the triumphant exclamation, “Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!”
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, special recognition was offered to the parish Sunday School Director and teachers for their dedicated and sacrificial service to the youth of the parish. The community also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Matushka Anna Vernak, who, after more than a decade of faithful teaching and service, will be stepping down from her role within the Sunday School program. The faithful offered prayers that the Lord would continue to bless and strengthen all those who labor in the education and spiritual formation of the parish children.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the Sunday School students of Christ the Saviour Church gathered for an Olympic-themed end-of-year celebration, enjoying fellowship, games, and activities together as the parish concluded another year of Christian education and Paschal rejoicing.
