LANCASTER, PA [DOEPA]

On Thursday, July 30, 2026, a group of parishioners from St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Diocesan Cathedral of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, traveled together to Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA, to attend a performance of Joshua. The excursion brought together members of the cathedral community for a day of fellowship, conversation, and shared enjoyment while experiencing the biblical production.

Throughout the trip, parishioners had the opportunity to spend time together outside the regular rhythm of parish life, strengthening friendships and fostering the sense of Christian community that continues to characterize St. Stephen Cathedral. The production, which portrays the Old Testament account of Joshua and the Israelites entering the Promised Land, provided a meaningful backdrop for reflection on faith, courage, and trust in God's providence. The outing was well received by all who attended, with parishioners expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to gather in fellowship and enjoy the performance together. Building upon the success of the visit, many participants shared their enthusiasm for future parish outings that will continue to strengthen the bonds of fellowship within the cathedral community.
