MECHANICSBURG, PA [DOEPA]
On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the clergy and faithful of Holy Apostles Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, gathered for the parish’s annual “Parish Picnic Potteiger Pool Party Palooza,” affectionately known as the P6.
Following the Divine Liturgy, parishioners, family members, and friends of the parish gathered at the home of Mark and Sherry Potteiger, parents of Holy Apostles parishioners, who graciously hosted the long-awaited celebration. Attendees enjoyed swimming, yard games, delicious food, and an afternoon filled with joyful fellowship. A special visit from an ice cream truck provided an additional treat for children and adults alike. The celebration continued into the evening and concluded with fireworks, bringing the memorable day of fellowship to a festive close.
The annual P6 has become a cherished tradition in the life of Holy Apostles Church, offering the parish family an opportunity to gather outside the regular rhythm of divine services, strengthen friendships, and enjoy time together as a community.
Holy Apostles Church extends its sincere gratitude to Mark and Sherry Potteiger for opening their home and for the generous hospitality they extended to everyone in attendance.
