Liturgical Life Committee begins its work - 08/20/2012

With the blessing, and with the participation, of His Eminence, Archbishop Tikhon, the first meeting of the newly formed Liturgical Life Committee of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania took place on Monday, August 20th in Bethlehem, PA.

The Committee was formed to discuss and resolve issues of liturgical practice within the diocese. At its first meeting, the Committee reviewed various practices used in diocese's parishes and proposed ways to achieve uniformity within the parameters of the ancient traditions and rubrics of the Orthodox Church.

The Liturgical Life Committee is a standing committee of the diocese which reports directly to the Archbishop and will meet on an on-going basis. The following clergy have been appointed to serve on this committee: 

Archpriest Vladimir Fetcho, Chairman
Archpriest David Shewczyk
Priest Nicholas Solak
Priest Victor Gorodenchuk
Priest Timothy Hojnicki, Secretary
