St. Herman's Orthodox Church in Shillington, PA celebrated its 40th Anniversary on the weekend of October 19/20, 2013. His Grace, Bishop MARK, arrived on Saturday the 19th, and shared dinner with Fr. John and Matushka Stephanie Onofrey, Fr. Michael and Pani Anne Marie Slovesko, and Father James & Presbytera Angela LaLiberte, who are retired clergy attached to St. Herman's. Great Vespers with a Fellowship hour followed. On Sunday, His Grace, Bishop MARK celebrated Divine Liturgy with Fr. John and Fr. Daniel Ressetar (Pastor Emeritus of Christ the Saviour, Harrisburg.) The Parish Council President, David Ream greeted His Grace with the traditional bread and salt. The Church School greeted and presented roses to Bishop MARK. Following Liturgy, a Fellowship Hour was held to meet and greet Bishop MARK. Later that evening, a 40th Anniversary Banquet was held at Toscani's Restaurant in Reading, with over 100 parishioners and guests including "local" Orthodox Clergy.  Many Years to the faithful of St. Herman's Orthodox Church in Shillington!
