St. Vladimir's Octet performs • Stroudsburg

Holy Trinity welcomes octet to Divine Liturgy and enjoys concert afterwards - 12/15/2013

On Sunday, December 08th, Saint Vladimir's Seminary Octet left Yonkers, NY before sunrise to travel to Stroudsburg, PA to sing the Divine Liturgy and offer a concert of sacred music to the public during the afternoon.  Accompanying the Saint Vladimir's Octet was Father Chad Hatfield, the Seminary Chancellor who preached at the liturgy, and Deacon Gregory Hatrack, Marketing and Operations Manager of SVS Press and Bookstore and a son of our Diocese.  Following the Diving Liturgy, the Church School Children of Holy Trinity received a visit from Bishop Nicholas as the parish continued to celebrate the feast of Saint Nicholas.  The very first liturgical service of Holy Trinity was on the feast of Saint Nicholas in 1976.  Many from the public came to Holy Trinity in the afternoon and enjoyed the public concert that featured liturgical hymns from the feasts of the Theotokos, especially from the upcoming feast of our Lord's Nativity.
