St. John the Baptist Recognizes Parish Graduates - 06/03/2018

On Sunday, June 3, the community of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA honored parish graduates with a breakfast following Divine Liturgy.
The breakfast, an ongoing tradition of the parish, gave the community a bit of time to recognize the two graduates accomplishments and learn about their future plans, as well as enjoy a spectacular meal and Orthodox fellowship. The breakfast was well attended.
The 2018 parish graduates are Ivan Gingo and Ilya Volkovinsky. Ivan Gingo will be graduating from Dallas High School and attending Luzerne County Community College in the fall to pursue a career in nursing. His parents are Aric and Michele Gingo. Ilya Volkovinsky will be graduating from Wyoming Valley West High School and attending Penn State Wilkes Barre in the fall to pursue a career in engineering. His parents are Fr. George and Matushka Larissa Volkovinsky.
The outstanding breakfast was cooked and served by members of the St. John’s Mothers and Daughters club, and it is always a treat. Cards, gifts and good tidings were given by the Sunday School, the Fr. John Naumovich Literary “R” club, and many of the guests.
May God Grant Ivan Gingo, Ilya Volkovinsky, their families, the Mothers and Daughters Club, the “R” club, and the parish of St. John the Baptist Many Blessed years!
