Holy Trinity Welcomes Archbishop MARK for Two Ordinations

On Sunday June 10, 2018, Holy Trinity was thrice blessed with the visitation of His Eminence Archbishop MARK and not one but two ordinations; one to the Holy Priesthood and one to the Holy Diaconate.

The weekend got underway with a peaceful Great Vespers service on Saturday evening.  The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated in all its splendor and was enriched by the dual ordinations.  Ordained to the Holy Priesthood was Fr. Vjekoslav Jovicic and ordained to the Holy Diaconate was Fr. Deacon Daniel Valentine.  Concelebrating with Archbishop Mark was Fr. John Onofrey (uncle to Fr. Dn Daniel), Fr. Ignatius Gauvain, Fr. Vedran Grabic of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Fr. Deacon Silouan Burns.

Following Divine Liturgy, a light brunch was held in honor of His Eminence and the two newly ordained clergy.  Parishioners, along with visiting friends and family, had the opportunity to share fellowship and enjoy one another's company.  Fr. Vjekoslav thanked the parish as he left quickly to be with his Matushka as she was in the midst of labor.  The Jovicics were blessed with the arrival of their new baby boy the following morning!

The parish of Holy Trinity is extremely grateful for the opportunity to host this blessed event and will continue to remember Fr. Vjekoslav and Fr. Dn. Daniel in their prayers.

Many years and Axios!
