On Saturday, December 21, the Sunday School, teachers and supportive parishioners of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA delivered a home cooked Christmas dinner to their neighbors at the Veteran’s center. This marks the 5th year the Sunday School has done this for the veterans. The Sunday School was generously supported by the parishioners of the church. The veterans enjoyed a hame dinner with all the fixings, plus fellowship amongst themselves and with the members of St. John’s. This yearly event is one of the Sunday School’s missions and outreach each year.
Following Divine Liturgy on Sunday, December 22, the Parish’s FOCA Chapter presented their annual St. Nicholas pasta dinner in Repella Hall in preparation for the upcoming Nativity.
