During Holy Week, the parish of St. John the Baptist in Edwardsville, PA was very busy preparing for the Great and Holy Feast. This week saw the parish expand her services by adding a Bridegroom Matins back into the mix.  It had been many a year since the last time it was celebrated.  The parish kicked off our Holy Week with the Wednesday Bridegroom services (served Tuesday evening). Beginning with Holy Thursday we followed a full slate of services including the Vesperal Liturgy of St. Basil on Thursday morning and Saturday morning (with all 15 Old Testament Readings), the passion Gospels of Holy Friday (on Thursday evening), the Lamentations Matins of Holy Saturday (on Friday evening) with processional.
