Sunday morning May 2, Fr Matthew Joyner, led the parishioners in an Agape Vespers Service. This service followed the long Saturday Night: Paschal Vigil, Divine Liturgy, Blessing of the Baskets and the Agape Meal. After Vespers this morning, he blessed the baskets of the parishioners that were not able to attend the Saturday night Service.
At the end of the Bright Monday Service, Fr. Matthew will have performed 20 services at St. Nicholas, from Lazarus Saturday to Bright Monday.
Now, when we greet each other, we say:
"CHRIST IS RISEN! ............ INDEED HE IS RISEN!”
