St. John the Baptist Sunday School students have full weekend of activities - 03/16/14

On the weekend of March 15/16. 2014, the Sunday School students had a full slate of activities, including candy making, confession, a waffle breakfast, and a visit to their neighbors to see a replica of the Shroud of Turin. On Saturday, March 15, the students met to make Easter candy, and later attend confession and Holy Vespers. On Sunday, March 16, following Divine Liturgy, the Sunday School held their first of what will definitely be many "Waffle Breakfasts." The Breakfast was an overwhelming success resulting in close to 2 hours of Orthodox fellowship. Following clean up, the students travelled across the street to their neighbors at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church to see one of seven replica's of the Shroud of Turin that exist in the world. The shroud is the only replica on the North American continent, and has touched the original shroud located in Turin. Thanks to the Very Reverend Archpriest Daniel Troyan and the parishioners of St. Vladimir's for their hospitality.
