Father Deacon Stephen Muse, Ph.D gives lecture to Diocesan Clergy - 10/10/14

Father Deacon Stephen Muse, Ph.D., a well-known speaker and the Director of Counselor Training and Clinical Services in Columbus, Georgia, spoke to our clergy on pastoral counseling.  In addition to many articles in professional journals, he is the author of two books: When Hearts Become Flame: an Eastern Orthodox Approach to the "Dia-logos" method of Pastoral Counseling, and Beside Still Waters; Resources for Shepheds in the Market Place.

Clergy were given a copy of each book so that they may continue to enhance their knowledge in pastoral counseling and to understand more deeply an Orthodox approach to health and well being where Christ is always the meeting point between counselor and counselee.

A sincere thank you is extended to Deacon Muse for his dedication to the Church and his willingness to share his vast experience with our clergy and to host pastor, Father David Shewczyk, and his parishioners for the luncheon served to the participants.
