On Tuesday, November 11 2014,  Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick presented a talk entitled: Will YOU be "left behind?": The Rapture in light of Ancient Christianity at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church in Harrisburg, PA. In his talk he shared the history, rise, and various popular presentations of this historically new, Protestant/Dispensational doctrine. Several key Scriptural passages were explored, comparing popular "rapture" interpretations, to those held by the Orthodox Church for 2,000 years. In summary, Fr. Andrew encouraged the faithful in attendance to be "Resurrection ready" and to embrace the historic, and Patristic interpretation of the Scriptures; in which our focus is to grow in the likeness of Christ, and to "look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen."
