Holy Apostles Mission holds annual contest in support of local charities - 12/24/14
Every year Holy Apostles Mission has a parish contest with gingerbread houses. A theme is chosen and people create a gingerbread creation corresponding to that theme. People "vote" on their favorite with donation placed in bags in front of a given gingerbread house. The proceeds go to a local charity. This year's theme was "Favorite Christmas Songs" and the proceeds ($360!) went to help with medical treatment for a monastic at Holy Cross Hermitage.
