St. Michael’s Celebrates Nativity, Reaches Out to Community During Giving Season - 12/25/16
On Sunday, December 25, 2016, the parishioners of St Michael’s Orthodox Church in Jermyn, PA gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity with Divine Liturgy. For the 5th year in a row. St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Jermyn, has reached out to the homeless and marginalized in the community by providing 13 families with over $1,400.00 worth of Christmas gifts, food, clothes and toys. This was done in collaboration with Susan Schlasta PhD (Candidate) in Social Work and a very active member of our Parish and Metropolitan Counsel Lay Representative.
