St. Stephen’s Orthodox Cathedral Welcomes Fr. Reardon - 10/23/17

On Monday evening, October 23, St. Stephen’s Orthodox Cathedral in Northeast Philadelphia was the host for a lecture which was sponsored by the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania. The guest speaker was Fr. Patrick Henry Reardon, pastor of All Saint’s Orthodox Church in Chicago. Fr. Reardon is a noted Orthodox author. His numerous books include, Christ in the Psalms, Christ in His Saints, and The Trial of Job: Orthodox Christian Reflections on the Book of Job. He is also a senior editor of Touchstone magazine.

The topic of Fr. Reardon’s lecture was: ATONEMENT: An Orthodox Theology of Redemption. How does God save us? The lecture was thought provoking and spiritually rewarding to those who attended. In spite of clearly laboring through a cold and his flight from Chicago, after his lecture Fr. Reardon graciously fielded an extended session of questions and answers. Following the lecture and Q and A session, the attendees were invited to the church hall for refreshments and the opportunity for more discussion and fellowship.
