St. John the Baptist Sunday School Thanks Parish for Support - 12/30/18
On Sunday, December 30, following Divine Liturgy, the Sunday School of St. John the Baptist hosted a Nativity Brunch and presented a short Yolka program with some help from the parish. The parish’s Eritrean family patriarch, Tewoldemedhin, offered some remarks about how a traditional Eritrean Nativity celebration occurs, as well as insight into his home country and Orthodoxy there. Following this presentation, all gathered sang the hymn to Saint Nicholas - and miraculously, he appeared to bring joy (and chocolate!) to those gathered. It was a joyous morning and the fellowship was enjoyable.
