Six Days of Creation Icon Workshop - 08/16/09
On Sunday, August 16th Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church (Harrisburg, PA)
welcomed master iconographer Xenia Pokrovsky and her daughter Anna Gouriev
to lead a week long workshop. The event began Sunday evening with Vespers
and a public lecture entitled "Silent No Longer" by parishioner and
iconologist John Barnes. Each morning participants gathered for Matins in
the church, and continued throughout the rest of the day with instruction
and icon writing practicum with Xenia and Anna in our parish hall. The
workshop has been a blessing for our entire community and we look forward to
welcoming Xenia and Anna back in the future. For information on future
