Cupola, Cross, and First Responders Blessed in St. Clair - 10/12/24

ST. CLAIR [DOEPA]

On Saturday, October 12, St. Mary's Orthodox Church in St. Clair, PA, blessed its newly renovated dome. The dome is blue, reflecting the patronage of the parish, The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The local St. Clair Fire Department raised Priest Kirill Zawatski, Acting Rector of Holy Ascension Church in Frackville, PA, and Administrator of St. Mary's Church, to bless the cupola and cross.

Following the blessing of the cupola and cross, the service vehicles of the local fire department, ambulance services, and police department were also blessed with holy water. A Moliben of Thanksgiving was then served by Priest Kirill, attended by first responders and members of the parish. After the dismissal, a fellowship luncheon was held in the parish hall. In gratitude, a generous donation was made to the volunteer fire department on behalf of the parish.

Most Holy Theotokos, save us! Glory to God for all things!
