OCEC Workshop in Harrisburg - 10/09/10
On Saturday October 9, 2010 over 20 church school teachers and directors gathered at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church for an all-day training workshop. The conference, sponsored by the OCA Diocese of Eastern PA and the Dept. of Christian Education, was a Pan-Orthodox event and drew from parishes of various Orthodox jurisdictions from throughout South Central Pennsylvania. The theme "Training Ourselves and our Children in Godliness" accurately captured the essence of the workshop. Our teachers and directors were given a professional framework in which to approach their awesome task, and the spiritual tools to help bring our children into a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord. A special thanks to Carole Buleza, Matushka Myra Kovalak, and Maria Proch who led the workshop, and to Willard Brown who provided the meals. May God bless them and grant them many years!
