The Clergy Continuing Education Program workshop continues in Stroudsburg, PA - 10/18/12

On Thursday, October 18th, 2012, Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Stroudsburg, PA hosted a three-hour workshop as part of the Clergy Continuing Education Program of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania. The topic of the presentation was: “Canonical Issues in Marriage: Maximums and Minimums”. The guest speaker, Archpriest Alexander Rentel, M.Div., SEOD, Assistant Professor of Canon Law, shared his knowledge on the different aspects of practical implementation of Canonical Rules in the Orthodox Church in United States. After the presentation, Fr. Alexander answered questions from the clergy and offered further insights into various Canonical Issues. All the clergy present shared a light lunch in the Church hall.

Shortly after this presentation, the clergy of the Wilkes-Barre Deanery met in the Church hall to discuss various matters relating the life of the Diocese.

This was a second of the three workshops offered by the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania with the blessing of His Eminence, Archbishop Tikhon to the clergy of all Orthodox Jurisdictions. For more information, please download the Clergy Continuing Education Brochure.
