They ARE smarter than a 5th Grader - 11/11/12

The Sunday School of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Edwardsville recently held a pizza luncheon followed by a spirited game of "Are you smarter than a 5th grader." The Sunday School met on Saturday, November 10 to prepare the home made pizza, attend vespers and Confession. On Sunday, November 11, following Divine Liturgy, the congregation was invited to Repella Hall to enjoy the pizza and watch a team of adults face off against the Sunday School by answering various questions based on 5th grade educational curriculum. The game ended in a draw, but in sudden death overtime, the adult team, comprised of Shirley Gingo, Joanne Olejnick, and Lisa Welkey pulled out a victory. The event is one of many planned for the upcoming Sunday School year, and was organized by Michael Lukatchik, Sunday School teacher.
