On Sunday, February 3, 2013, the parish of St. John the Baptist, Edwardsville, PA blessed candles following the tradition of the celebration of the Presentation of the Lord. Father Marty Watt blessed the candles in the center of the church which were distributed to the faithful. The first Sunday of the month is also "Youth Sunday," and the children of the parish fulfilled the duties usually done by the adults. Following Divine Liturgy, a "Souper Bowl" Sunday soup sale was held.
