St. Michael's welcomes 3 Generations of Ressetars for Divine Liturgy - 02/23/14

On February 23 St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Mt. Carmel had three generations of the Ressetar Family in church.  The Very Reverend Dimitri Ressetar was a member of St. Michael’s in the early 1900’s.  Last Sunday, the parish was blessed with Father Daniel Ressetar serving, his grandson Dimitri assisting behind the altar and reading, and his son Nicholas in attendance.
Following Divine Liturgy we had 16 parishioners from St. Michael’s attend an educational session for pre-lent and all enjoyed the lunch provided by several parishioners.
The parish discussed the meaning of the prayer “O Heavenly King” and what it means to prepare for Great Lent.  Several parishioners placed notes of who they pray for.  The parishes youngest member Natalya enjoyed the activity.
