Last weekend (March 2/3), was a jam-packed flurry of activity for Holy Apostles (Mechaniscburg) with the visit of our dear friend Father Gabriel Bilas, of Saint Mary Magdalene (Fenton, MI), who celebrated Divine Liturgy with Father Timothy and Father Nicholas, and gave a captivating sermon on the Parable of the Prodigal Son! Father Gabriel also was blessed to give to his newly-illumined Godson, Joseph, his first Holy Communion. After Divine Liturgy, Father Timothy said special prayers for Mark and Barbara Linnehan on the occasion of their 40th year of Holy Matrimony. The weekend began Saturday evening at Great Vespers with Kevin and Marilyn Bourdeau being welcomed into the Orthodox Church and a compelling presentation by Reader Alex Koropsak on "The Old Testament Roots of the Priesthood."
