The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was served, presided over by His
Beatitude Metropolitan JONAH and concelebrated by all the hierarchs
and many local and visiting clergy. At the conclusion of the Divine
Liturgy, His Grace, Bishop ALEJO was formally enthroned as Bishop of
Mexico City and Mexico. His Grace was elevated to a full diocesan
Bishop and the Exarchate of Mexico now becomes a full diocese of The
Orthodox Church in America.
 
Following the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Archbishop DMITRI
celebrated the Great Blessing of Waters and a procession was made to a
small park across the street for the blessing of a large Orthodox
Cross which had been erected by the city. A luncheon followed at the
Cathedral hall.
